Dragon Age

Dragon Age is a high fantasy role-playing video game series created by BioWare. The first game, Dragon Age: Origins, was released in 2009. Dragon Age II, a sequel to Origins, was released in March 2011. Dragon Age: Inquisition is set to be released Fall 2014. The series' fantasy setting has also been used by a variety of other media, including books and tabletop games, and the two main games have been joined by a variety of downloadable content (DLC) add-ons.

    • Wot I Think: Dragon Age – Inquisition

By Adam Smith on November 17th, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Dragon Age: Inquisition might just be my favourite game released this year. Considering my expectations and relationship with recent BioWare games, that’s about as likely as Saturday night’s soggy kebab being my favourite meal of the year. I’ve spent almost sixty hours uncovering as much of Inquisition’s enormous open world an ...

BioWare action RPG due out on November 18. Dragon Age: Inquisition has completed development across all platforms, BioWare announced. “I’m excited to announce that Dragon Age: Inquisition has gone gold on all platforms,” executive producer Mark Darrah said in a blog post. “This milestone is a testament to the hard work of the developers (and their families!) ...

    • Review: Dragon Age: Inquisition

Dragon Age II felt like a great action game that was outsourced to a lesser developer. It lacked the polish BioWare typically puts into its titles, and almost the entire affair felt like a gigantic step back from everything Origins had established. What was once a promising franchise that reminded me of the glory days of RPGs such as Baldur's Gate became a shadow of its forme ...

  • I Wish More Games Were About Deception

… future I'd just willed into being. So for the longest time, I never chose "[lie]" options in BioWare-style RPGs (Star Wars: KOTOR, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, etc) or anything like that. Some intrinsic part of me detested the idea. But these days I'm singing a slightly different tune thanks in large part to a number of non-video games. Deception…

  • ‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ Review

These days, it isn’t enough to be the biggest, the boldest, or even the most badass when it comes to AAA gaming: first and foremost, the game has to work to win approval. The past few weeks have shown that not only is universal acclaim hard to come by, but the more established the franchise, the more divisive changes (or a jump to next-gen) prove to be.

  • There Are Things Worse Than Silence

… Sometimes, when you're talking with someone in Dragon Age, a glitch might happen: all conversation options disappear, and you're left standing there in silence. Usually it's just a small, annoying niggle. But here, it's kind of perfect. Watch as a rude conversation turns full-on awkward with the Tevinter mage Dorian. Thanks for uploading it, skurk! I can't help but wonder how many other conversations can be 'improved' with this glitch now, too. Dragon Age: Inquisition - well, that's awkward. [skurk] …
